An Réalt Bar, Restaurant & Guesthouse is a family run business in the heart of Connemara, County Galway along the Wild Atlantic Way, it’s only a few minutes from Rosaveel port the gateway to world heritage site on the Aran Islands.

Gaeltacht

Carraroe is in the Gaeltacht or Gaelic speaking region, situated 128Km from Shannon airport and 118Km from Knock airport. It is ideal for those who enjoy activity based getaways. Throughout your stay, you can enjoy the many sea activities such as the unique Coral beach, traditional sailing festivals, scuba diving, kayaking and deep sea fishing on Galway bay from nearby Rosaveal port.

Trá an Dóilín

Trá an Dóilín (The Coral Beach) is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is well known for its clear waters and is a popular beach for swimming and snorkelling. There are changing rooms and toilet facilities provided.

The beach is lifeguarded during the bathing season and more information can be found on the notice boards located at the beach

Aran Islands

A trip to Carraroe would not be complete without visiting one of the three Aran Islands and world heritage site. There are two ways to transport to the islands, by ferry from the Rosaveal port, located five minutes from Carraroe or by plane (8 minute journey) from the airport of Inverin. The award winning Connemara Isles Golf Club is just 8km away and there are many looped walks around the islands.
